Transition
Carey Services has assisted persons with disabilities transition from school to adulthood for over 50 years. Carey Services can help you through the process and work with the school, state officials, and other parties to make it as uncomplicated as possible. we are currently serving Grant, Blackford and Cass County students and families.

Assists students with special need transition from high school to adult life. This may include:
- Assessments to determine the students likes, dislikes, strengths and weaknesses to assist in the employment process.
- Assist the student in the process of applying for vocational Rehabilitation, BDDS, and other adult services.
- Job Shadows and Work Experience Opportunities
- Job Coaching on the work site
- Assist with completing employment applications
- Develop interviewing/job readiness skills
- Training in self-advocacy and disclosure
-Transportation training and developing transportation plans
- Assisting with residential options, and developing a plan to address any barriers that might arise in transitioning to the adult world.
