Carey Services Supported Living Program enables people we serve to live in their own apartment or home with the assistance and support of agency staff.  A paid neighbor or live-in companion may also be an option.  Support varies depending on need, up to 24 hours a day.  Full-Time Community Living Specialists and Assistants are on staff, with supports such as physician, therapist, visiting nurse, PT/OT, etc.  The program is adapted to meet each person's individual needs, including housing and services for those with limited mobility.

Staff supports in assistance in budgeting, banking and bill paying.  Finanacial assistance is available to supplement an individual's income and benefits for those who qualify.  Carey Services also provides day programs that include job readiness training, job placement, habilitation and daily living skills training.

All people served in Supported Living are encouraged to explore and pursue interests in sports, hobbies, and community activities with staff support.  They are also responsible for the upkeep of their apartment or home with assistance, training and support staff.

Carey Services also serves children and adolescents who continue to reside in with their parent or guardian. Services and supports are provided in the family's home or in community settings. Programming is developed to meet the individualized need of each child served. Programming can also be coordinated with the child's school curriculum. The parent or guardian can have full input in choosing the staff that is hred to provide the supports for their child.

Supported Living services provide an array of supports and activities for persons with developmental disabilities in the home and in the community.  Qualified staff can assist with bathing, housekeeping skills, cooking, shopping and other daily living activities.  Carey Services staff can provide training opportunities so a person with a disability can participate in these daily activities and increase in their independence and involvement in their community.

All supports provided to persons in this program are individually tailored to meet the unique needs of each person served.  Carey Services staff can provide the support needed to make dreams become reality.
