DEVELOPMENTAL THERAPY
Developmental Therapy focuses on infant/toddler development and ways to promote development. This includes designing learning environments and activities to promote development across all domains: cognitive (learning); physical (moving body and manipulating objects); communication (using language and understanding language); social/emotional (developing relationships and learning socially acceptable behavior); and adaptive (self-help).
Your child may benefit from therapy if, when compared to other children the same age, your child has difficulty with:- Feeding / eating
- Using large muscles to roll over, crawl, walk, run, and jump
- Using small muscles to hold toys, crayons, and utensils
- Playing with toys
- Playing with other people
- Developing relationships with others, especially family
- Using words and gestures to communicate
- Understanding directions
