Carey Services Duck Race 2009
Carey Services Duck Race Official Rules and Regulations:
1. The race will take place at the Splash House on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at approximately 12:00 p.m. local time.
2. Approximately 2,000 ducks will be entered in the race.
3. In the case of inclement weather or other circumstances, Carey Services reserves the right to postpone or reschedule the race, or determine winners by a random drawing, in its sole discretion.
4. Once the ducks are launched, participants may not interfere with any duck.
5. A number will be attached to each duck relating to the number on an adoption certificate. Multiple duck entries from one ticket will be assigned additional numbers for identification. The person’s name that appears on the adoption certificate corresponding to the first ducks in the order of retrieval, will be awarded prizes.
6. The entry portion of each adoption paper must be completely filled out and received by Carey Services prior to the start of the race for a ticket to be eligible to win a prize.
7. Winners must be 18 years of age or older and must prove eligibility. Members of the Carey Services Duck Race Committee and Carey Services Sr. Management are not eligible to win.
8. Any and all taxes, tags, titles and similar fees are the sole responsibility of the winner. The winners will be asked to fill out a corresponding W-9 before the prizes will be issued.
9. By entering, entrants release Carey Services and its officers, staff, directors and other related entities from any and all liability with respect to prizes, and consents to the use of their names and likenesses without additional compensation.
10. Chances of winning depends on the total number of qualified entries.
11. This even is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
12. All decisions and interpretations of rules and regulations will be made by Carey services and its judgment is final.
13. A copy of these rules and regulations is available by sending a written request and self addressed, stamped envelope to Carey services at 2724 S. Carey Street, Marion, IN 46953.
14. Prize winners will be announced at the duck Race awards ceremony on July 11, 2009.
