Carey Services provides a variety of services that can span a lifetime.

We serve pre-natal mothers to people throughout the many phases of adulthood. In all of these programs, we strive to help the individuals we serve (and those who care for them) become valuable community members who are able to contribute to the world around them.

Our services include:

COMMUNITY LIVING OPTIONS

Carey Services provide residential services for many of the individuals we serve. We operate three group homes in Grant and Blackford counties that provide 24-hour supervision for up to eight people in a home setting. We also serve individuals in more than 50 community residential settings, providing care that can range from a few hours of daily activity support to complete 24-hour care.

EARLY HEAD START

Carey Services’ Early Head Start is a federally funded income-based early childhood education program for pre-natal mothers and families with children up to three years old.

RESPITE

Carey Services offers respite care for those temporary or periodic times where the family, or routine caregiver, needs to take a break.

DAY PROGRAMMING

Carey Services’ CARF-accredited day services programming can provide community activities and curriculum to help the individuals we serve navigate their unique pathway toward self-sufficiency. We provide day services through our facilities in Marion, Wabash and Logansport.

CREATIVE HEARTS ART STUDIO

Carey Services’ Creative Hearts Art Studio was created in 2016 to provide a place for the individuals we serve to have a way to express themselves through various artistic mediums, including painting, sewing, sculpture, and music and movement. The studio artists sell their works and receive the revenue. In 2018, the artists created a sculpture that is displayed in a Marion city park, and many of their paintings are displayed in local offices and homes. The Expressions event is a large public art show each October that helps introduce people to the studio and the talented artists who create their works there.

EMPLOYMENT

When the individuals we serve want to find community employment, Carey Services has a department with experienced staff members to help that person work through the job search process to find meaningful community work. The department works with job-seeking individuals we already serve through our internal programs, and it is an employment services provider for the state’s vocational rehabilitation program. The department staff members also work with area high school students to help them prepare for their next steps after they complete school.

WORKFORCE ASSISTANCE

If your business needs additional capacity, Carey Services has the labor force to help meet your assembly and packaging needs. With more than 75 workers capable of performing labor-intensive jobs, Carey Services can provide your company with a motivated workforce.

TRAINING

As part of our vocational work, Carey Services’ production facility and day services staff members provide pre-vocational training for the individuals we serve interested in pursuing community employment.
