In 2018, Jennifer transitioned from living with her family to her own
apartment. Initially, she could only be alone for two hours, but today,
she confidently spends up to eight hours independently. To further her
progress, she introduced Electronic Monitoring services, which allowed
her to reduce her Residential Services hours while enhancing her
autonomy. Jennifer has also mastered self-administering her
medications, a key step toward managing her daily life.
Mornings were once a struggle for Jennifer, as she had difficulty
waking up on time for Day Programming. With persistence, she has
overcome this challenge and now rides the van every morning.
Socially, Jennifer has made tremendous strides. She was previously unable to participate in group activities,
and now engages in small groups, socializing effectively and recognizing the needs of others. Alongside this,
she continues to develop calming techniques to better manage her emotions and maintain healthy
relationships.
Jennifer is also making better choices for her health by incorporating nutritious eating habits into her life.
Community Living and the support of DSPs through Carey Services has made all of this possible!

TOTAL NUMBER OF CHILDREN Home Visitor (Tracy) helped Ariana see that
ENROLLED MULTIPLE YEARS she had the power to make choices and
break the cycles learned in her childhood.
Ariana learned that you can get the help
