    #GivingTuesday Donations to be Matched

    AWS Foundation is generously offering to support disability services in northeast Indiana on #GivingTuesday 2018. New gifts, and increased gifts, to Carey Services will be matched dollar for dollar only on #GivingTuesday. Stay tuned for more information on how to give to Carey Services on November 27 and see your donation have even greater impact for the individuals we serve.

    AWS Foundation Matching Giving Tuesday Gifts

    AWS Foundation is celebrating its 10th anniversary by suppoting disability services in northeast Indiana on Giving Tuesday 2017. New gifts, and increased gifts to Carey Services will be matched dollar for dollar only on Giving Tuesdsay, which is Nov. 28.

    The increased gift match is made only on the increased amount. For example, if your last gift was  $100, and your Giving Tuesday gift was $125, $25 will be matched by AWS Foundation.

    October Access Newsletter Available

    Carey Services has released the October edition of Access, the monthly newsletter that highlights agency activities.

    The Access newsletter features information about this year’s Expressions art event, which was Oct. 21. Also in the newsletter is the monthly installment of the Caring and Serving series that highlights client success stories, this month focusing on an Employment Services program success. Another article describes how donors can make their donations go further through a matching grant opportunity on Giving Tuesday on Nov. 28.

    It’s #GivingTuesday!

    Today is #GivingTuesday.

    Carey Services is participating in the annual worldwide observance to raise awareness and money for charitable causes. Your donation today could buy art supplies for our new studio, or you could designate it to something meaningful to you.

    To make a financial donation, click here. Gifts of more than $100 could qualify for Neighborhood Assistance Program state tax credits.

    November Newsletter Available

    Carey Services has released the November edition of Access, the monthly newsletter that highlights agency activities.

    The Access newsletter features agency plans for Giving Tuesday, a national charitable observance, and has an announcement about the new I CARE promotional campaign. Access will provide a monthly look inside the agency to show ways the agency and its clients interact in the world in which we live, work and play.

    Carey Services Participating in Giving Tuesday

    For years, Black Friday has been a national obsession.

    With the rise of online shopping, Cyber Monday (the Monday after Black Friday) has become one of the biggest shopping days of the year.

    Recently, a new trend called Giving Tuesday has begun growing to provide people a chance to donate their time, talents and treasure as the holiday season opens.

    Carey Services will part of the Nov. 29th Giving Tuesday observance. As you think about how you might give on that day, consider the many opportunities you have to connect with Carey Services and the work we do to help people with disabilities turn abilities and barriers into opportunities.

    One of the newest ways we create opportunities is through a new program that allows clients to express themselves artistically. We have a dedicated art studio where clients paint, sew and build items that allow them to be creative and express themselves in their own individual way. Many of the items they produce also are assembled into larger collaborative art pieces. Your Giving Tuesday gift to Carey Services will help our clients express themselves more than they have been able to before.

    You could donate money to help with art supplies, or you could donate you time and talent to help provide our clients new artistic ideas and additional hands to bring their ideas to fruition. Or let us know if you have ideas on how you would like to connect with us.
