Duck Race Again a Success
Those rubber ducks keep coming out every year, and every year they have a successful race for the individuals Carey Services serves.
The 11th annual Duck Race raised almost $33,000 on a warm, sunny evening at the Marion Splash House.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better evening this year,” said Greg Maynard, the agency’s director of fund and strategic advancement. “It’s very gratifying to know that the community continues to support the race and our efforts to help the individuals we serve become empowered and equally valued members of the community.”
This year’s race also featured a larger silent auction of sports memorabilia and gift packages than last year.
Money raised through the race goes to help with unbudgeted needs for those individuals we serve.
