The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted many things in the community this year. But, the artists in the Creative Hearts Art Studio have continued to express themselves in impressive ways. With that in mind, we are going to conduct the annual Expressions art event to celebrate that creativity and hard work. But, in keeping with safety protocols, we’re taking the event virtual this year.

You’ll still be able to see where the studio’s artists pursue their passion and you’ll still be able to see the tangible results of that passion. Hopefully something will ignite inside you to pursue your creativity, too. We’ll have plenty of art for sale, too, so you can enjoy seeing the fruits of an artist’s passion in your own home or office.

Instead of one evening, we’re stretching Expressions to five days: Sept. 28-Oct. 2. Join us each day as we display our artists’ work and offer opportunities for you to participate. We’ll be posting videos and doing live broadcasts on our Facebook page. The daily schedule of online opportunities will include:

  • 9 a.m. — Morning welcome; showcase of silent auction art pieces and other information for the day’s activities
  • 11 a.m. — Artist presentations/comments
  • 1 p.m. — Demonstration of actual art piece being created
  • 3 p.m. — Afternoon studio news
  • 5 p.m. — Evening closing

We’re planning on ways you can be engaged in the activities each day. In addition to the weeklong silent auction for larger art pieces, you’ll also be able to buy additional art in the Creative Hearts Shop by clicking here.

Carey Services believes in enhancing abilities, whatever they might be, and helping people turn them into opportunities. Expressions is different this year, but it remains an event where we invite the community to celebrate artists who have used their abilities and their passion to create a wide variety of art. We are hoping you will support this inspiring event and be a part of the vision to see all people as equally valued community members.
