Early Head Start has programs specifically designed for each phase of the early-childhood process.

• Prenatal Program – This program helps expectant mothers by offering support, education and information that will promote a healthy pregnancy. Once the child is born, Early Head Start can provide additional support through home-based visits and family development programming.  The child and family can receive EHS services through age 3.
• Home-Based Program – This program includes receive weekly visits from an EHS home visitor where you and your family will work on goals with the home visitor’s help. Goals are encouraged for your child’s development as well as family wellbeing/development. Your home visitor will support the most important educator in your child’s life, you.
• Infant Room Program – This program is a state-licensed classroom for eligible children age 6 weeks to 13 months. Teen parents who need quality, reliable child care while continuing to attend Grant County middle or high schools are eligible to apply. The infants enjoy a nurturing atmosphere among other infants, with excellent care provided by highly qualified and trained childhood educators. Parenting classes are also provided in this year-round program.
• Center-Based Program – This program is a state-licensed classroom for eligible children ages 12-36 months. Parents must be working or in school to qualify for this full-day, year-round program. Your child will enjoy playing with other children while receiving guidance from trained and highly qualified early childhood educators. The EHS curriculum, which is aligned with the Foundations to the Indiana Academic Standards, will help prepare your child for preschool and beyond.
