On Tuesday, April 5, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. stop by the downtown branch of Northwest Bank to enjoy an ice cream sundae and check out a Pop Up Art Sale and Reception. With a commitment to make a difference, Northwest Bank has been hosting an Art Gallery and Sale of art pieces made in the Creative Hearts Art Studio at Carey Services. The Creative Hearts Art Studio at Carey Services is a person-centered studio that turns abilities into opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The individuals are guided to explore different forms of art such as painting, woodcraft, jewelry making and beading. The pieces they create are available for purchase, with the artist retaining 60 percent of the selling price. The artists have shared how they enjoy their time in the art studio and the opportunity to earn money allows them to enjoy more activities in the community and purchase items they may otherwise not be able to do. Northwest Bank and Carey Services are partnering to host a reception with art for sale and a create your own ice cream sundae treat after hours at Northwest Bank located at 100 W Third Street, Marion. The reception is open to the public.
